Providing Virtual Support with Our Evolving Patient-Care Model.
Upper Valley Behavioral Health is now launching its telehealth service to give you access to board-certified experts for online consultations. As the world is learning to grapple with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, our founders are working to quickly adapt our current patient-care model to facilitate your behavioral and mental healthcare concerns through online virtual visits. By conducting sessions online, we can now ensure access to care in a way that allows patients to social-distance and reduce the risk of exposure to the virus. Please note that our telehealth service is using Zoom to connect with patients – a widely-used and secure platform. We are currently providing this service for clients in El Paso, TX; Las Cruces, NM; and the entire state of New Mexico.
Can Telehealth Be Effective?
Telehealth, also known as telemedicine, has been known to help overcome the distance between patient and doctor. It can effectively limit transportations costs for patients and save time by providing remote access to quality healthcare. As high-speed internet becomes available to a majority of the American population, it is more convenient than ever to check in with your healthcare provider via a video visit or e-visit. Telehealth has opened more doors for the healthcare system to reach prospective patients as the online visiting process is more streamlined allowing specialists to make emergency and non-emergency check-ins with patients quicker, thereby, allowing escalation of illness.
Here is a short list of reasons why you should opt for telehealth services:
- Cost-effective because it reduces transportation costs.
- Saves time. You don’t have to arrange a babysitter, or take time off work, to make it to a doctor’s appointment.
- A safe choice that can ensure no exposure to any viral infections and illnesses.
- Patients have the option to opt for remote treatment instead of foregoing it due to difficult/complicated circumstances.
Virtual Consultation and Treatment
At Upper Valley Behavioral Health, we understand that due to increased isolation and alienation caused by the COVID-19 crisis, there may be a rise in the number of people requiring treatment for ADHD, anxiety, and depression by our board-certified experts. In order to reach out to patients in need, we are collaborating with Zoom – a video communications platform. This year has seen an unprecedented rise in the number of Zoom users, going from 10 million to 200 million users in a couple of months.
Zoom is a reliable, safe, and easily accessible online platform, available as a mobile application for smartphones. You can download the application directly from the App Store or Play Store.
